New Forest Livery - The Yard

Social Events -

At New Forest Livery, we aim to make everyone's experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Our friendly atmosphere creates a place where you can relax and enjoy spending time with your horse or have a good natter with other clients.

Regular social events take place at NewForest livery, providing great entertainment and enjoyment for everyone, including friends and family, the young and slightly older. They provide great opportunity to get to know new clients and create everlasting friendships.

Some of the events include:

Fun Days -

Annual 'Fun days' take place at on the yard, for all to take part. Ranging from low-key gymkhana, dressage, combined training and orienteering - all in the name of fun and a have-a-go attitude. This brilliant day often ends with a BBQ or hog roast with a raffle, which raised over £300 for the Hampshire air ambulance last year.

Yard Trips -

Regular yard outings to many high profile venues such as Olympia horse show, Hickstead, Ascot races and Badminton Horse Trials. Often taking a full coach load of clients from the yard, while friends and family are also welcome. These are always thoroughly enjoyed by all, bringing everyone together through shared love and common interests and nice refreshments and meals together too!

Beach rides -

Beach rides over to Studland are just a short horsebox journey away and provide an extraordinary, let your hair down experience for both horse and rider. Day permits for those wanting to ride on Studland are available from the 1st October to the 30th April.

Equipilates -

Equipilates trainer, Gina Hemmings (APPI) currently offers a 6 week dismounted course, taking place in our yard mane room. With a maximum of six in each session, exercises can be personalised and adapted to individuals of all riding abilities. The course firstly involves assessment of the rider's positions on the saddle and then Pilates exercises tailored to riding, such as correct alignment, breathing, core strength and mobility are given. The overall goal is to achieve a more comfortable and harmonious ride for both horse and rider.

Team Quest -

One for the dressage diva's, or those that just want to have fun and just give it a go. Several teams are combined and compete in many local competitions with the goal of achieving as a team. This close-knit group and support network makes the competing experience more enjoyable and stress-free, especially for those who are new or are nervous about stepping out into the competitive world. Many helping hands and guidance is available throughout the day and in the run up to each event – that's what we call real team spirit!
